WHAT IS THE CARBON BUYBACK INCENTIVE?
There is a robust global marketplace for carbon offsets, but solar homeowners have been unable to sell their carbon offsets into the solar market. Until now. Aspen Renewables has partnered with a team of environmentally conscientious investors looking to bring solar to new regions in the United States and worldwide. We are committing to buying a full 10 years of carbon offset credits upfront from your residential solar customers. The program is extremely simple; your customer signs a contract allocating ten years of carbon credits to our fund and authorizes us to monitor their home solar system to ensure it is producing.
WHERE IS THE INCENTIVE AVAILABLE?
We are currently focused on the United States and India. As a conscientious investor group, higher incentives are offered to customers with the lowest overall cost of electricity.
Why low-cost electricity? Our investment team is most interested in accelerating the installation of solar for customers who would be least likely to see a return on investment without access to these funds.
Due to investment time constraints, the highest incentives are offered to companies able to install and receive permission to operate from the local utilities on the shortest timelines.

Calculating your incentive is simple: the areas with the dirtiest energy and lowest cost of electricity get the highest incentive. The projects that receive permission to operate (PTO) from the local utility the fastest are also eligible for increased incentives.

WHAT CONTRACTS DO MY CUSTOMERS HAVE TO SIGN?
Your customers will be asked to sign a two-page document authorizing the sale of their carbon credits and allowing our 3rd party auditor to monitor their system. Click here to see a sample contract.
HOW DO I RECEIVE PAYMENT?
Once Aspen Renewables has received a signed copy of the Carbon Credit Agreement we will authorize funding for your project. Your organization will be paid for the full 10 years of carbon credits within 10 business days of receipt of PTO and following the audit performed by our 3rd party auditor.
